Overcoming Dropout of House Electronics during Engine Starting

If engines are started while batteries are combined, the resulting sag or spike may reset GPS and other navigation equipment, and may damage some sensitive electronics. The new 120 Amp SI (Starting Isolation) ACR from Blue Sea Systems automatically isolates the house battery bank from the engine battery bank, thereby preventing damage to electronic equipment.

Start Lockout for Two Engines

Starting Isolation also can be accomplished with two engines. Install a diode bridge to activate Starting Isolation from either start key switch. A diode bridge will accept a signal from either engine but keep the start signals isolated.
