Blue Sea Systems Now Shipping ML*-Series Heavy Duty Remote Battery Switch *Magnetic Latching

ML-Series_Remote_Battery_Switch

Blue Sea Systems is shipping the new ML-Series Heavy Duty Remote Battery Switch. This 500 Ampere switch is installed as close as possible to battery banks to minimize long runs of large wire that increase installation cost, and can lead to reduced performance. It is operated by a low-current control switch installed at a safe and convenient location away from the most likely place for a fire to start—the engine room.

This innovative remote battery switch uses a magnetic latching* relay—it draws very low current in the ON or OFF state, and only draws moderate current for milliseconds when changing state. The manual override knob can be used to switch current manually in an emergency, and to lock the circuit OFF for servicing. A version of the Remote Battery Switch without a manual override knob, the ML-Series Solenoid, is also available.
